Edie Lemley, MSNcs, FNP, is the Family Nurse Practitioner of the Louisiana Anti-Aging and Wellness Center, as well as Sure Steps Balance Center.
Ms. Lemley Newman received a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Ole Miss University, and a Master of Science degree in nursing from Alcorn State University.
She is a fellow of the American Academy of Nursing.
Ms. Lemley, a prolific writer, has researched and published a paper on "Type II Diabetes and Women 40 Years and Older".
Nurse practitioners provide much of the same care provided by physicans and usually maintain close working relationships with physicians. Nurse practitioners focus on patients' conditions as well as the effects of illness on the lives of the patients and their families. Nurse practitioners make prevention, wellness, and patient education priorities.
Ms. Lemley works in a collaborative relationship with Dr. Linda C. Bunch M.D. She is responsible to assess, diagnose and treat patients in the internal medicine clinic.
Ms. Lemley currently resides in Calhoun, Louisiana.
